Job Title: Internal Audit Lead

Job Description: As Internal Audit Lead for Wise’s UAE operations, you will be responsible for leading the UAE Internal Audit function across multiple legal entities — applying relevant experience working in assurance, risk, or audit to build a robust, independent internal audit programme for a globally mission-driven fintech enabling people and businesses to move money internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the UAE Internal Audit function across multiple legal entities for a globally established fintech
• Build and execute a robust, independent internal audit programme for UAE regulated fintech entities
• Conduct audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting across technology, financial, compliance, and operational audit areas
• Provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks
• Identify control gaps and risk areas — providing actionable recommendations to senior management and the Board
• Maintain rigorous audit documentation standards consistent with IIA standards and governance requirements
• Engage with management on audit findings, agreed actions, and remediation tracking
• Monitor UAE fintech regulatory developments relevant to internal audit standards and compliance

Qualifications Needed:

• Relevant experience working in assurance, risk, or audit — required for this Internal Audit Lead role
• Proven internal audit leadership experience within a fintech, payments, or regulated financial services environment
• Deep understanding of fintech internal audit standards, risk frameworks, and UAE regulatory requirements
• Excellent audit programme management, stakeholder engagement, and Board-level reporting skills
• CIA, CISA, ACA, or equivalent audit qualification required
• DIFC-based or willing to work in DIFC environment
