Job Title: Fraud Analyst – Payments Infrastructure (Fintech)

Job Description: As a Fraud Analyst at a fintech company enabling financial innovators to launch frictionless payment programmes with modern card infrastructure at record speed, you will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and mitigating fraudulent activity across a cloud-native card payments platform. You will apply fraud analytics expertise to protect card programme clients and their end users across a globally operating payments infrastructure platform.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent activity across a cloud-native card payments infrastructure platform
• Conduct detailed fraud investigations — analyzing transaction patterns, chargebacks, and suspicious account activity
• Apply fraud analytics and detection tools to identify emerging fraud typologies across card payment programmes
• Collaborate with Card Programme clients on fraud management best practices and prevention strategies
• Produce fraud performance reports — tracking fraud rates, chargeback metrics, and prevention effectiveness
• Coordinate with Card Schemes (Visa, Mastercard) and acquiring banks on fraud dispute and chargeback management
• Develop and refine fraud detection rules and thresholds to optimize fraud prevention while minimizing false positives
• Stay current on card payment fraud trends, new attack vectors, and industry fraud prevention standards

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven fraud analyst experience within a card payments, fintech, or financial services environment
• Strong understanding of card payment fraud typologies, chargeback management, and fraud prevention frameworks
• Experience with fraud detection tools and transaction monitoring systems for card payment platforms
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills for complex fraud case management
• Understanding of card scheme fraud rules and PCI-DSS fraud management requirements
• Relevant fraud or compliance certification preferred
