Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description: As a Senior Financial Accountant at a fintech or e-commerce company, you will master a global general ledger system and multi-currency transaction architecture — taking full ownership of balance sheet and multi-currency bank reconciliations and independently preparing VAT and GST compliance documentation across regional entities.

Responsibilities:

• Master a global general ledger system and multi-currency transaction architecture from Day 1
• Take full ownership of foundational balance sheet and multi-currency bank reconciliations
• Independently prepare primary VAT and GST compliance documentation and initial data compilations
• Manage complex intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned regional entities
• Run independent variance analyses comparing budgeted projections against actual financial spend
• Shadow and take direct operational ownership of pre-payments, monthly accrual tables, and localized transactional sorting
• Present clear variance analysis findings to finance leadership to streamline quarterly operations
• Apply UK and USA financial accounting expertise and produce financials to GAAP standards

Qualifications Needed:

• 0–2 years of practical experience within corporate accounting, financial reporting, or e-commerce finance — required
• Must have qualified experience with UK and USA financial accounting and produce financials to GAAP standards
• Proven hands-on capability in maintaining a clean general ledger, posting manual journals, and transaction tracking
• Strong multi-currency bank reconciliation, intercompany accounting, and VAT/GST compliance skills
• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred or in progress
• GCC or global fintech or e-commerce senior financial accountant experience strongly preferred
