Job Title: Risk Ops Team Leader

Job Description: Seeking a Risk Operations Team Leader in Dubai to lead the day-to-day operations of the risk operations function, managing a team of analysts responsible for fraud prevention, transaction risk monitoring, and risk-related merchant review processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Rapyd’s Risk Operations team in Dubai — setting performance expectations and driving team quality and efficiency
• Oversee day-to-day fraud prevention, transaction risk monitoring, and merchant risk review operations
• Design and implement risk operations processes, SLAs, and escalation frameworks across the team
• Monitor risk operations KPIs including fraud detection rates, false positive rates, and case resolution times
• Conduct performance reviews and coaching for risk operations analysts
• Collaborate with the Fraud, Compliance, and Product teams on risk operations improvements and fraud typology updates
• Escalate material risk issues and coordinate cross-functional risk mitigation activities
• Produce regular risk operations performance reports for senior management

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven experience in risk operations, fraud operations, or financial crime operations leadership within a fintech or payments company
• Experience managing or leading a team of risk or fraud analysts in a high-volume payment environment
• Strong understanding of payment fraud typologies, transaction monitoring, and merchant risk assessment
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
• Data-driven approach to risk operations management and team performance measurement
• Experience in fintech, acquiring, or payment processing risk environments strongly preferred
