Job Title: Head of Non-AML Compliance (Remote UAE) – Tether Operations

Job Description: Lead the non-AML compliance function at Tether Operations Limited, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all business verticals. Represent Tether in the UAE and liaise with local regulators including CBUAE, VARA, FSRA, SCA, and DFSA.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the VP Regulatory and Licensing, define the requisite level of knowledge on existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements across the organisation
• Coordinate internal compliance reviews across the organisation’s verticals, including periodic departmental reviews
• Provide advice and training on compliance matters to the organisation and its subsidiaries
• Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to the Board
• Notify the General Counsel of violations or suspected violations of applicable compliance laws and regulations
• Ensure all documentation and records are secured and maintained by designated custodians consistent with regulatory requirements
• Independently investigate and act on matters related to compliance
• Interact with regulators on compliance issues, including mandatory reporting
• Represent Tether in the UAE; review local regulations and interface with CBUAE, VARA, FSRA, SCA, and DFSA in cooperation with the CCO and VP of Regulatory and Licensing
• Establish standards, implement procedures, and foster a culture of compliance across the organisation

Qualifications Needed:

• Extensive experience in non-AML compliance management within a regulated financial institution, fintech, payments firm, or digital asset company
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks including CBUAE, VARA, FSRA, SCA, and DFSA requirements
• Experience presenting compliance reports and providing strategic compliance advice to board-level stakeholders
• Proven ability to independently investigate compliance issues and liaise with regulators
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesise complex regulatory requirements clearly
