Job Title:Deputy MLRO (DMLRO)

Job Description: The DMLRO is responsible for supporting the Compliance and MR Officer and ensuring appropriate compliance with virtual asset regulations in the UAE, specifically under the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) framework. The role acts as the deputy Authorised COMLRO under VARA.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Compliance and MLRO in ensuring appropriate compliance with virtual asset regulations in the UAE under VARA
• Assist with AML/CFT operational compliance obligations including SAR filing, transaction monitoring, KYC reviews, and EDD
• Support preparation of regular reports and strategic direction to senior management regarding compliance matters
• Act as deputy Authorised COMLRO under the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority
• Support regulatory and supervisory engagements with VARA on behalf of the compliance function
• Assist in managing and monitoring compliance with the VARA Rulebook and relevant UAE regulations
• Contribute to compliance training and awareness programmes for staff
• Assist with licensing, regulatory notifications, and compliance submissions as required

Qualifications Needed:

• At least 10 years of compliance experience with a reputable multinational company, preferably in fintech or financial services
• Strong understanding of local VARA regulations and UAE compliance requirements
• Demonstrated managerial experience and strong leadership skills
• Crypto knowledge will be a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Entrepreneurial, innovative, and strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Must be UAE based
