Job Title: Compliance Officer (SCA Regulated)

Job Description: Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to oversee regulatory obligations within the Contracts for Difference (CFD) and derivatives sector, ensuring full compliance with the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) regulations and requirements. The role acts as MLRO where required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee regulatory obligations within the CFD and derivatives sector ensuring full compliance with SCA regulations
• Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) where required
• Oversee KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and ongoing client monitoring processes
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks related to CFD trading activities
• Ensure timely submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (goAML)
• Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, notifications, and filings to the SCA
• Escalate material breaches, incidents, or regulatory risks to senior management and regulators
• Ensure compliance policies are embedded across all departments, particularly sales, trading, and client-facing teams

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance within the financial services sector
• Strong background in CFDs, derivatives, brokerage, or margin trading compliance
• Prior experience working with SCA-regulated entities or UAE onshore financial institutions is highly desirable
• Deep knowledge of SCA regulations, UAE AML/CFT laws, and financial crime requirements for CFD businesses
• Experience as MLRO or deputy MLRO in a regulated CFD or brokerage entity preferred
• Strong regulatory reporting and stakeholder management skills
