Job Title: Compliance Officer – Digital Asset Custody

Job Description: Manage the daily activities of the Compliance department and maintain the company’s compliance and AML programme at Hex Trust’s Dubai entity. Serve as MLRO for Hex Trust MENA FZE with direct reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance and indirect reporting to the Managing Director MENA.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as MLRO of Hex Trust MENA FZE and be responsible for regulatory filings and reporting
• Be responsible for the review, investigation, and onboarding of new customers and accounts
• Participate in the ongoing review of existing clients to ensure adherence to AML/CFT and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations issued by VARA and other applicable government bodies
• Advise business stakeholders on existing and ongoing compliance obligations with respect to regulatory standards and expectations
• Work closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance and other Compliance Officers globally to develop and enhance existing AML governance, policies, and procedures
• Work with the business to develop compliance procedures and controls, providing commercially-oriented compliance advice
• Carry out awareness briefings and staff training on regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures
• Lead and contribute to compliance-related projects, including liaising with the technical development team to enhance company systems and AML/KYC-related systems
• Maintain regulatory registers and make necessary filings with the Regulator as required
• Liaise with regulators and law enforcement agencies in relation to any requests received and filing of STRs

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven compliance officer experience with MLRO designation at a regulated financial institution or VASP, preferably in digital asset custody or crypto
• Deep knowledge of VARA regulations and UAE AML/CFT requirements
• Experience reviewing, investigating, and onboarding customers in a digital asset environment
• Strong background in AML/KYC systems and compliance technology
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical, legal, and operational teams
• Relevant professional certifications (CAMS, ICA, or equivalent) preferred
