Job Title: Compliance Officer & MLRO – UAE (Sole Compliance Function)

Job Description: As a Compliance Officer and MLRO for a regulated financial services entity in the UAE, you will be the sole person responsible for the Compliance function — applying 5+ years of compliance experience in the UAE financial services sector to build, maintain, and lead the complete compliance programme. This is a critical, high-accountability role for a senior compliance professional ready to own the entire compliance and MLRO function for a licensed UAE entity.

Responsibilities:

• Be the sole person responsible for the Compliance function in the UAE — owning the complete compliance and MLRO mandate
• Build, maintain, and lead the full compliance programme for a licensed UAE financial services entity
• Act as the designated MLRO — reviewing, investigating, and filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
• Develop and maintain AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls in line with UAE regulatory requirements
• Conduct KYC, CDD/EDD, and transaction monitoring across the full client base
• Manage all regulatory reporting, supervisory engagement, and compliance filing obligations
• Provide compliance advisory to senior management and the Board on all regulatory and financial crime matters
• Monitor UAE regulatory developments and implement required changes to the compliance programme

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in the UAE financial services sector — required
• Proven ability to serve as sole compliance officer and designated MLRO for a UAE-regulated entity
• Deep knowledge of UAE AML/CFT regulations, financial services licensing frameworks, and MLRO responsibilities
• Strong leadership and compliance programme management skills for a sole-responsibility mandate
• CAMS or equivalent AML qualification required
• Excellent written and verbal communication for regulatory engagement and Board-level advisory
