Job Title: Head of Compliance

Job Description: As Head of Compliance for a fintech and payments company with a Canadian Payment Service Provider (PSP) background, you will be responsible for leading the full compliance function — ensuring compliance by design is embedded within fintech payment platforms through cross-functional collaboration with product, tech, risk, compliance, and business care teams. You will build and lead the compliance function for a globally operating payments and fintech company with UAE operations.

Responsibilities:*

• Lead the full compliance function for a fintech and payments company with international PSP operations
• Collaborate with compliance by design principles — working with product and tech teams to ensure “compliance by design” within fintech payment platforms
• Work closely with sales, finance, risk/compliance, and business care teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated customer compliance approach
• Build and maintain AML/CFT compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures for a regulated payments and fintech entity
• Manage regulatory relationships and supervisory engagements with applicable UAE and international authorities
• Lead compliance monitoring, testing, and audit preparation across all compliance programme areas
• Build and develop the compliance team — hiring, mentoring, and driving compliance excellence
• Provide strategic compliance advisory to leadership on regulatory risk, product compliance, and market expansion

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven Head of Compliance experience within a fintech, payments, or PSP environment
• Deep understanding of “compliance by design” principles for fintech product and technology development
• Experience managing compliance across payments and fintech platforms with international regulatory exposure
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration with product, tech, risk, and business teams
• UAE and international payment regulatory expertise preferred
• Relevant compliance qualifications (CAMS, ICA, or equivalent) required
