Job Description

Job Title: VP, Financial Planning & Analysis – Fintech

Job Description: Serve as the Group CFO’s primary business partner for performance, planning, and value creation at Optasia — a publicly listed B2B2X fintech platform operating in 38+ countries. Own the Group planning and forecasting cycle, lead performance reviews with Commercial and Regional leadership, and shape the financial narratives presented to the Executive Committee, Board, and investors.

Responsibilities:*

  • Act as the right hand to the Group CFO on all matters related to Group performance, planning, and external guidance
  • Provide forward-looking financial insight to the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board, helping to prioritise strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and growth bets
  • Lead the Group FP&A function globally, setting standards, ways of working, and best practice across regions and business units
  • Own the financial narrative underpinning strategy papers, Board materials, investor communication, and guidance
  • Run the Group performance rhythm including monthly performance reviews and quarterly deep dives with Commercial and Regional leadership
  • Own the Group planning cycle including annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts, and long-range plan
  • Drive capital allocation decisions by delivering rigorous investment appraisal, scenario analysis, and strategic financial modelling
  • Challenge the business, support strategic decision-making, and ensure Optasia delivers profitable, capital-efficient growth

Qualifications Needed:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CFA, or equivalent post-graduate qualification is an advantage
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA) is beneficial
  • Highly senior FP&A or commercial finance experience in a listed or private equity-backed fintech or financial technology company
  • Proven ability to lead global FP&A functions and partner with C-suite executives
  • Experience owning investor communication and Board-level financial narratives
  • Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis, and performance management capabilities
