Job Title: Transaction Execution – Vice President

Job Description: As a Vice President in Transaction Execution at a globally established Japanese banking group, you will primarily lead and execute credit and transaction analysis — with strong banking product knowledge including Loans, Derivatives and Risk Solutions, Trade Finance, and M&A. You will participate in the analysis and negotiation of financing requests in coordination with credit, product, legal, and compliance teams across SMBC’s Middle East operations.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily lead and execute credit and transaction analysis for SMBC’s Middle East corporate banking clients
• Apply strong banking product knowledge including Loans, Derivatives and Risk Solutions, Trade Finance, and M&A
• Participate in the analysis and negotiation of financing requests in coordination with credit, product, legal, and compliance teams
• Build and maintain strong banking relationships focused on securing client meetings and initial engagement
• Conduct financial analysis, credit assessment, and transaction structuring for corporate banking mandates
• Produce credit memos, transaction documentation, and client analytical materials for senior review
• Coordinate with product specialists, legal, and compliance teams on complex corporate financing transactions
• Monitor Middle East corporate banking market developments and regulatory changes affecting transaction execution

Qualifications Needed:

• Significant VP-level transaction execution or corporate banking credit analysis experience
• Strong banking product knowledge — Loans, Derivatives and Risk Solutions, Trade Finance, and M&A — required
• Thorough understanding of business and relationship aspects, corporate banking products, credit risk management, and UAE regulatory environment
• Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and written communication skills for VP-level transaction delivery
• Arabic language skills preferred for Middle East corporate banking client and regulatory engagement
