Job Title: Software Engineer (Java)

Job Description: As a Software Engineer (Java) on the Credit team at a global financial super app, you will relocate to the UAE with full company support and work in a hybrid model from the Dubai office, building mobile APIs and microservices while perfecting systems the business depends on, including risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing.

Responsibilities:

• Build mobile APIs supporting the company’s credit products
• Develop microservices to evolve the technical architecture
• Perfect systems the business depends on, including risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing
• Focus on greenfield development and improvement of existing systems
• Collaborate effectively with team members across the business at every step, stage, and release of a feature
• Keep frameworks lean, shipping clean, maintainable code fast using TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery

Qualifications Needed:

• Fluency with Java
• 6+ years of experience in backend development
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a similar field
• Quick learner with an ambitious, results-driven attitude
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with fluency in English
• Experience with Kotlin or Scala, finance, or a startup/scale-up environment is a plus
