Job Title: Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager – Crypto Exchange & Virtual Assets

Job Description: Seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager for its Crypto Exchange and Virtual Assets operations in Dubai. The role leads Deriv’s crypto compliance strategy, defining and implementing compliance frameworks specific to crypto exchange operations, digital wallets, and token-related activities.

Responsibilities:*

• Lead crypto compliance strategy: define and implement compliance strategies and frameworks specific to crypto exchange operations, digital wallets, and token-related activities
• Ensure full compliance with VARA regulations and applicable UAE virtual asset regulatory requirements
• Manage regulatory relationships with VARA and other UAE regulators on crypto-specific compliance matters
• Develop and maintain AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls for Deriv’s virtual asset operations
• Lead compliance monitoring and testing for the crypto exchange and virtual assets business line
• Oversee KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening specific to crypto client base
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and compliance submissions for Deriv’s VARA-regulated entity
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams on compliance-by-design requirements for crypto product features

Qualifications Needed:

• Senior compliance experience with significant time dedicated to crypto exchange, virtual assets, or VASP compliance
• Deep knowledge of VARA rulebook and UAE virtual asset regulatory framework
• Experience defining and implementing compliance strategies for crypto exchange operations
• Expertise in AML/CFT requirements for virtual asset businesses including transaction monitoring and on-chain analytics
• Relevant compliance qualifications (CAMS, ICA, or equivalent) preferred
• Strong leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management skills
