Job Title: Legal Counsel

Job Description: As Legal Counsel at ila Bank, Bank ABC’s digital bank, you will provide comprehensive legal support, advising on regulatory, contractual, and compliance matters across the digital banking operation.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and client terms.
• Advise on Bahrain regulatory requirements, including CBB rules, data protection, and AML/CFT compliance.
• Support product development, marketing, and operations teams on legal and regulatory matters.
• Manage legal risks, coordinate with external counsel, and support board reporting.

Qualifications Needed:

• 5+ years of legal experience in fintech, banking, or financial services in Bahrain.
• Deep knowledge of CBB regulations, digital banking frameworks, and corporate law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; admission to a recognised bar or legal society preferred.
