Job Title:Finance Controller

Job Description: Our Client is hiring a Finance Controller. The role requires 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role, to lead Alaan’s financial control, reporting, and compliance functions.

Responsibilities:*

• Lead Alaan’s financial control function including month-end close, financial reporting, and statutory compliance
• Maintain accurate general ledger and oversee the reconciliation and accounts payable/receivable processes
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards
• Manage external audit relationships and coordinate the annual statutory audit process
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
• Oversee UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance and filing obligations
• Partner with FP&A, Engineering, and Commercial teams on financial data accuracy and reporting
• Build and develop the finance and accounting team as Alaan scales

Qualifications Needed:

• 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience managing month-end close processes
• Experience in a fintech, SaaS, or high-growth technology company preferred
• Proven track record managing external audit relationships and statutory reporting
• UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance experience required
• Strong proficiency with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Xero, or equivalent ERP)
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred
