Job Title: Finance Associate – Startup Retail Technology Fintech

Job Description: As a Finance Associate at a fast-growing retail technology company transforming the in-store shopping experience through self-checkout solutions — including mobile, kiosks, mPOS, and RFID technology — you will be a technically strong, commercially aware professional operating within a fast-paced startup environment. This is a high-ownership role working closely with leadership with exposure across finance, operations, and commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with leadership in a high-ownership finance role with cross-functional exposure across finance, operations, and commercial decision-making
• Manage all aspects of month-end and other financial processes with strong commercial awareness
• Apply general accounting experience developed in a fast-paced environment to fintech and retail technology financial operations
• Take ownership of tasks, drive processes forward independently, and contribute to continuous improvement
• Produce management accounts, financial reporting, and business intelligence for leadership decision-making
• Support compliance activities and statutory filings across multiple regions coordinating with external consultants
• Assist with audit preparation, investor reporting, and ad-hoc finance projects across a growing fintech platform

Qualifications Needed:

• At least 2–4 years of general accounting experience developed in a fast-paced environment — required
• Part-qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification — ideal
• Strong commercial awareness and proactive attitude for a high-ownership startup finance role
• Technically strong with experience on all aspects of month-end and financial processes
• Comfortable operating within a fast-paced startup environment with high autonomy and accountability
• Experience with Oracle or similar general ledger systems is a plus
