Job Title: Director of Regulatory Affairs

Job Description: As Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Middle East and North Africa at a globally established fintech company, you will be a key strategic adviser to Product Owners, Country Managers, and regional management — enabling them to successfully navigate the fast-moving regulatory landscape across MENA. You will lead the regulatory engagement strategy, licensing portfolio, and government affairs across a globally recognized digital banking and payments platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a key strategic adviser to Product Owners, Country Managers, and regional management on regulatory strategy
  • Enable leadership to successfully navigate the fast-moving regulatory landscape across MENA
  • Lead regulatory engagement with CBUAE, VARA, DFSA, ADGM FSRA, SAMA, and other MENA financial regulators
  • Own the regulatory licensing portfolio for the MENA region — managing all licensing applications and maintenance
  • Develop and execute regulatory affairs strategy aligned with business expansion across MENA markets
  • Monitor MENA regulatory developments and provide proactive regulatory intelligence to product and commercial teams
  • Lead government affairs strategy — building relationships with regulatory bodies and government stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams on regulatory requirements for new products and markets

Qualifications Needed:

  • Significant Director-level regulatory affairs experience within a globally established fintech or digital banking company
  • Deep expertise across MENA financial regulatory frameworks — CBUAE, VARA, DFSA, ADGM FSRA, SAMA
  • Proven track record as a key strategic adviser on regulatory matters to senior business leadership
  • Strong government affairs and regulatory engagement skills for MENA regulatory bodies
  • Excellent strategic advisory, written communication, and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Arabic language skills strongly preferred for MENA regulatory and government engagement
