Job Title: Data Engineer – Automation & AI

Job Description: As a Data Engineer specializing in Automation and AI on a 3–6 month contract basis at a leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi — partnered through a globally established technology consulting firm — you will build and maintain data infrastructure supporting automation and AI initiatives for a major financial institution’s digital transformation programme.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data infrastructure supporting automation and AI initiatives for a leading financial institution
• Design and implement data pipelines, automated data processing frameworks, and AI-ready data architectures
• Support the financial institution’s digital transformation programme through data engineering and automation
• Collaborate with Data Science, AI Engineering, and Banking Operations teams on data infrastructure delivery
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across automated data pipelines for the financial institution
• Implement monitoring and observability frameworks for production data engineering systems
• Produce technical documentation for data infrastructure, automation frameworks, and AI data pipelines
• Support post-implementation assessment and possible extension engagement on completion of initial contract

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven Data Engineer experience with automation and AI data pipeline expertise
• Strong proficiency with data engineering frameworks and cloud data platforms for financial services
• Experience building data infrastructure for a leading financial institution or regulated financial services environment
• Engagement: Full-time on-site; Contract duration 3 or 6 months with possible extensions
• Excellent collaborative and technical communication skills for financial institution project delivery
• UAE-based or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi for on-site contract engagement
