Job Title: Compliance Officer – Payments & Fintech (Tagalog & English Speaker)

Job Description: As a Compliance Officer for a payments and fintech company requiring both Tagalog and English fluency, you will be responsible for ensuring the business operates in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices — maintaining a strong compliance framework, supporting client onboarding, and safeguarding the company against financial crime risks. This role is critical in maintaining a strong compliance framework for a growing payments and fintech environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the business operates in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices
• Maintain a strong compliance framework — supporting client onboarding and safeguarding against financial crime risks
• Conduct KYC, CDD, and EDD reviews for new and existing clients in a regulated payments and fintech environment
• Monitor transactions and investigate suspicious activity in accordance with UAE AML/CFT regulatory requirements
• Investigate and escalate suspicious activities in accordance with company procedures
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures for a growing payments and fintech company
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and compliance submissions to UAE financial authorities
• Provide compliance advisory to commercial and operations teams on regulatory requirements and client onboarding processes

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, AML, KYC, or regulatory roles within a fintech, payments, or banking environment
• Experience working within a regulated financial services, fintech, payment institution, or banking environment
• Fluent in both English and Tagalog — both written and spoken — required for this role
• Knowledge of UAE and international compliance standards is advantageous
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and stakeholder communication abilities
