Job Title: Compliance Officer & MLRO – Fintech / Digital Assets

Job Description: As a Compliance Officer and MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) for a fintech and digital assets company in the UAE, you will be responsible for the overall compliance and AML/CFT programme — applying MLRO expertise to a regulated UAE virtual asset or fintech entity. You will serve as the designated MLRO, managing regulatory relationships, financial crime reporting, and compliance framework governance.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as MLRO — responsible for financial crime reporting, SAR/STR submissions, and regulatory liaison
• Develop and maintain AML/CFT, sanctions, and compliance frameworks for a UAE fintech or digital assets entity
• Engage with VARA, UAE Central Bank, or applicable UAE financial regulators on compliance and licensing matters
• Oversee KYC, transaction monitoring, Travel Rule, and sanctions screening programmes
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and manage the annual compliance programme review
• Produce compliance reporting for Board and governance committee review
• Advise Product, Commercial, and Technology teams on regulatory requirements for new product launches
• Monitor UAE and global digital assets and fintech regulatory developments

Qualifications Needed:

• Proven MLRO or Compliance Officer experience in fintech, digital assets, or regulated financial services
• Deep knowledge of UAE AML/CFT requirements and digital assets regulatory framework (VARA, UAE Central Bank)
• Strong AML/CFT programme management and regulatory engagement skills for UAE regulated entities
• CAMS or equivalent AML compliance qualification required
• Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic for regulatory and Board communication
• UAE fintech or digital assets compliance experience strongly preferred
