Job Title: Compliance Officer – High-Growth Fintech / Web3 Startup

Job Description: A high-growth, international fintech operating across Africa, Europe, and North America — and expanding its compliance function as it scales — is hiring a Compliance Officer in Dubai. The company is technology-driven with strong investment in AI-based compliance tools, agile processes, and a highly capable technical team. The role offers the opportunity to shape the compliance framework of the future and is open to candidates with experience in high-growth fintech or Web3 startups.

Responsibilities:*

• Shape the compliance framework of a high-growth international fintech as it scales across multiple markets
• Manage AML/CFT compliance obligations including KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and STR/SAR processes
• Leverage AI-based compliance tools to enhance compliance efficiency and detection capabilities across the platform
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks for a technology-driven fintech
• Provide compliance advisory to Product, Technology, and Commercial teams on compliance by design requirements
• Monitor regulatory developments across the fintech’s operating markets in Africa, Europe, North America, and MENA
• Engage with UAE regulators and support regulatory submissions, licensing, and supervisory engagements
• Contribute to building a best-in-class compliance culture in a high-growth, agile fintech environment

Qualifications Needed:

• Experience in high-growth fintech or Web3 startups — specifically preferred
• Proven compliance experience with AML/CFT, KYC, and financial crime compliance in a fintech environment
• Familiarity with AI-based compliance tools and technology-driven compliance approaches
• Understanding of compliance across multiple jurisdictions including Africa, Europe, and MENA preferred
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to balance compliance rigour with business growth objectives
• Excellent written and verbal communication for regulatory engagement and internal advisory
