Job Title: Compliance Officer

Job Description: The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in banking relationships and internal compliance reporting for dLocal’s Saudi Arabia operations. dLocal is a company of 1,000+ teammates from 30+ nationalities, operating in a flexible remote-first culture. The role focuses on AML/KYC compliance, transaction monitoring, and regulatory engagement with Saudi authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the KYC onboarding process for new customers and update existing ones in Saudi Arabia
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements related to customer identification and verification
• Implement and enhance transaction monitoring systems to detect and report suspicious activities within the Saudi Arabian context
• Manage banking relationships as a key compliance point of contact
• Prepare and submit internal compliance reports and regulatory filings
• Engage with Saudi Arabian regulators and maintain positive, proactive regulatory relationships
• Build or implement compliance-related automations including workflows, alerts, and reporting systems
• Stay current on Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks for the payments industry and applicable FATF/AML/CFT guidance

Qualifications Needed:

• 4–6 years of legal experience in consultancy firms, AML, transaction monitoring, and KYC within banking or fintech
• Proven experience in a compliance role within financial services with a focus on payments and remittances
• Hands-on experience building or implementing compliance-related automations (workflows, alerts, reporting systems)
• In-depth knowledge of KYC processes, transaction monitoring, and AML/CFT regulations in Saudi Arabia
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks for the payments industry
• Experience engaging with regulators in Saudi Arabia and maintaining positive relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• CAMS or equivalent compliance certification preferred
