Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

Job Description: As a Chief Technology Officer for a multi-country Islamic banking institution, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, digital transformation, and IT operations across a group of Islamic banking entities spanning multiple countries. You will apply strong expertise in core banking platforms (Azentio, Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube), financial messaging and APIs (ISO 20022, SWIFT), and cybersecurity frameworks to lead enterprise-level technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technology strategy, digital transformation, and IT operations for a multi-country Islamic banking group
• Apply strong expertise in core banking platforms — Azentio, Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube — to technology strategy execution
• Apply knowledge of financial messaging and APIs (ISO 20022, SWIFT) to digital infrastructure design and implementation
• Apply cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001 or equivalent) to enterprise technology security governance
• Define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with the Islamic banking group’s business objectives
• Lead digital banking transformation — building capabilities across mobile banking, open banking, and digital channels
• Build and develop a high-performing technology team across multiple country operations
• Mandatory UAE/GCC banking experience with local regulations and market practices

Qualifications Needed:

• Significant CTO or senior technology leadership experience in Islamic banking or GCC banking — mandatory UAE/GCC banking experience required
• Strong expertise in core banking platforms: Azentio, Temenos, Finacle, or Flexcube
• Deep knowledge of financial messaging and APIs: ISO 20022, SWIFT
• Strong cybersecurity framework expertise (ISO 27001 or equivalent)
• Proven track record leading multi-country technology transformation for banking institutions
• Excellent leadership, strategic advisory, and executive communication skills
