Job Title: Financial Crime Compliance Analyst

Job Description: The FCC Analyst ensures all escalations meet regulatory expectations under the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) AML Rulebook and supports the MLRO in SAR/STR decision-making and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Independently review internal SARs raised by first line/TM teams; assess suspicion threshold, completeness, quality of investigation, and adequacy of supporting evidence
• Provide clear recommendation to MLRO (file / do not file / further investigation); draft or refine external STR/SAR narratives prior to submission
• Review complex cases escalated from Transaction Monitoring and first-line FCC investigation teams; challenge weak rationales and ensure consistency in decision-making
• Take ownership of high-risk client cases (complex structures, adverse media, regulatory exposure) and sensitive matters involving key clients or revenue impact
• Act as key support to MLRO by presenting case summaries and recommendations, highlighting emerging risks and typologies
• Identify recurring fraud patterns (e.g., EMI accounts as transit accounts, third-party payment abuse, FX layering) and feed insights into TM rules and training programs
• Ensure all case decisions are well-documented, defensible, and aligned with DFSA expectations
• Maintain audit-ready records for DFSA inspections and internal audit reviews

Qualifications Needed:

• Strong experience in SAR/STR decision-making, transaction monitoring investigations, and AML frameworks within EMIs/payments
• Deep understanding of suspicion thresholds and regulatory expectations under DFSA AML Rulebook
• Experience with complex entity structures, cross-border payment patterns, and third-party payment risks
• Ability to work independently and make critical, defensible compliance decisions
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills
