Job Title: Compliance Officer & MLRO

Job Description: As a Compliance Officer and MLRO at a regulated FinTech and digital asset platform, you will lead regulatory, AML, and risk management operations — applying senior MLRO and compliance leadership to a UAE-regulated fintech and digital asset organization’s full compliance and risk management mandate.

Responsibilities:

• Lead regulatory, AML, and risk management operations for a regulated FinTech and digital asset platform
• Act as designated MLRO — managing all AML/CFT obligations, STR/SAR filing, and UAE FIU regulatory reporting
• Develop and maintain compliance frameworks, AML/CFT policies, and monitoring programmes for fintech operations
• Oversee KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and financial crime operations
• Engage with VARA, CBUAE, and applicable UAE regulators on compliance, licensing, and regulatory matters
• Lead compliance monitoring and testing — producing reports for senior management and Board governance
• Build and develop the compliance team at a UAE-regulated FinTech and digital asset organization
• Monitor UAE and global FinTech and digital asset regulatory developments affecting the compliance programme

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant AML/CFT compliance experience — essential per VARA requirements — required
• Proven Compliance Officer and MLRO experience in fintech, digital assets, or banking
• Deep knowledge of VARA regulations, CBUAE AML/CFT frameworks, and UAE digital asset compliance standards
• CAMS or equivalent AML qualification required for MLRO designation
• Excellent MLRO leadership, VARA regulatory engagement, and Board-level governance communication
• GCC fintech or digital asset MLRO and compliance officer experience strongly preferred
