Job Title: Senior Digital Banking Architect – Cloud-Native & Microservices

Job Description: As a Senior Architect within a banking group’s IT team, you will support the development of scalable, resilient, and secure digital banking platforms — working across cross-functional squads, guiding solution delivery, defining architecture best practices, and mentoring junior architects for a digital banking group serving millions of users. You will be an experienced technology architect with a strong background in cloud-native application design, microservices, and security frameworks who aspires to influence enterprise-level architecture decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Work across cross-functional squads, guiding solution delivery and defining architecture best practices for digital banking
• Support the development of scalable, resilient, and secure digital banking platforms used by millions
• Influence enterprise-level architecture decisions and shape platforms through senior technical leadership
• Collaborate closely with engineering, security, infrastructure, and business leaders to design modern applications
• Design and govern cloud-native application architecture, microservices, and security framework implementations
• Define and enforce architecture standards and patterns across the group’s digital banking platform development
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to engineering culture and technical knowledge development
• Ensure all architecture decisions align with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and security standards

Qualifications Needed:

• Experienced technology architect with strong background in cloud-native application design, microservices, and security frameworks
• Aspiration to influence enterprise-level architecture decisions and shape platforms used by millions
• Proven senior architecture experience in digital banking or regulated financial services technology
• Strong cloud engineering expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture design skills
• Experience collaborating with engineering, security, infrastructure, and business leaders on enterprise architecture
• Relevant architecture certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent) preferred
