Job Title: Senior Compliance Manager

Job Description: Lead compliance initiatives at OKX’s UAE entity, developing and implementing AML/CFT frameworks aligned with VARA guidance and UAE regulatory standards. Support the MLRO and serve as a key point of contact with regulators and law enforcement agencies for a leading global crypto exchange.

Responsibilities:*

• Contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures, and systems for combating money laundering and terrorism financing
• Support the MLRO in ensuring OKX UAE complies with its regulatory and legal responsibilities, including VARA Guidance and industry best practice
• Support the ongoing monitoring and resolution of AML/CFT related cases
• Assist in responding to legal and regulatory requests
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and other external partners
• Provide advice and guidance on AML/CFT related matters where appropriate
• Prepare OKX UAE for independent AML/CTF and/or Compliance testing
• Engage cross-functionally with Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk teams to implement an effective compliance management programme
• Deputise for the MLRO as required, ensuring internal suspicious activity reports are quickly assessed, documented, and where appropriate reported to relevant authorities
• Oversee compliance reviews and investigations
• Support the MLRO in preparing compliance reports for management and the Board

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field; CAMS, CCEP, or equivalent certification preferred
• Proven experience in compliance management, including previous experience as MLRO or Deputy MLRO, preferably within cryptocurrency, fintech, or financial services
• Proven experience dealing with regulators and auditors on AML audit and/or investigations
• Strong knowledge of AML, CTF, and data protection regulations, with demonstrated ability to raise SARs to FIUs effectively
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the crypto industry and its associated risks
