Job Title: Risk Manager – UAE

Job Description: The Risk Manager (UAE) will embed and maintain effective risk management across Copper’s UAE-regulated operations — covering risk identification, controls assessment, residual risk measurement, and compliance with ADGM FSRA requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Chief Risk Officer with the risk assessment framework — identifying risks, assessing controls, measuring residual risks, and ensuring the business remains within approved risk appetite
• Conduct analysis, reporting, and tracking of all material risks as a second-line function
• Assist with the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative risk controls
• Ensure protection of the business with the operational effectiveness of risk management processes
• Support regulatory engagement with the ADGM FSRA on risk-related reporting and supervisory matters
• Produce regular risk reporting for Copper’s UAE management team and Board
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Operations on cross-functional risk matters for the UAE affiliate
• Stay current on digital asset risk typologies including custody, counterparty, market, and operational risks

Qualifications Needed:

• 5+ years of risk management experience within a regulated financial institution, digital asset firm, or fintech
• Understanding of digital asset risk frameworks including MPC custody, prime brokerage, and DeFi exposure
• Experience with ADGM FSRA regulatory requirements or comparable financial services regulatory frameworks (FCA, MAS, VARA)
• Strong analytical and quantitative risk assessment skills
• FRM, CAIA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and digital asset market dynamics
