Job Title: Risk & Compliance Officer

Job Description: Seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer in Dubai. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of compliance and risk management experience, with at least 2 years in a virtual assets, fintech, or payments environment. Responsibilities include leading operational resilience planning, building the compliance framework, and ensuring ongoing VARA regulatory compliance for the Dubai-regulated entity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead operational resilience planning including business continuity and incident response from a compliance and risk perspective
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance and risk management framework
• Ensure compliance with VARA regulations and applicable UAE financial services laws
• Conduct AML/CFT operational compliance obligations including KYC, transaction monitoring, SAR filing, and EDD
• Maintain compliance records and all required regulatory reporting obligations
• Review marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance
• Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement required changes to policies and procedures

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 5 years of compliance and/or risk management experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a virtual assets, fintech, or payments environment
• Knowledge of VARA regulations and UAE AML/CFT requirements
• Strong understanding of financial crime risk typologies in digital payments and crypto
• Relevant compliance certifications (CAMS, ICA, or equivalent) preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
