Job Title: MLRO & Compliance Officer

Job Description: As MLRO and Compliance Officer in the DIFC for a globally established cross-border payments and FX company, you will be a highly experienced and strategic compliance leader — overseeing AML, CTF, sanctions, and broader regulatory framework within the DIFC. You will apply a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar MLRO, AML/CFT, or senior regulatory compliance role within the UAE or GCC to lead full compliance for a regulated DIFC entity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee AML, CTF, sanctions, and broader regulatory framework within the DIFC for a cross-border payments company
• Apply minimum 5 years of experience in MLRO, AML/CFT, or senior regulatory compliance within the UAE or GCC
• Act as designated MLRO — managing all AML/CFT obligations, STR/SAR filing, and regulatory reporting
• Manage regulatory relationships with the DFSA and applicable UAE regulators
• Develop and maintain AML/CFT compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures for the DIFC regulated entity
• Lead compliance monitoring and testing — producing reports for Board and senior management
• Provide strategic compliance advisory to leadership on regulatory risk, product compliance, and market expansion
• Build and develop the compliance team as the payments platform scales

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar MLRO, AML/CFT, or senior regulatory compliance role within the UAE or GCC
• Proven MLRO designation experience with deep DFSA and DIFC regulatory expertise
• Strong AML/CFT programme management and regulatory engagement skills
• Excellent strategic compliance advisory and Board-level communication skills
• CAMS or equivalent compliance qualification required
• Insurance paid by the company
