Job Title: Legal and Compliance Manager

Job Description: As a Legal and Compliance Manager at a fintech company, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations — ensuring the business operates within applicable UAE and international regulatory frameworks while supporting commercial growth. You will manage legal documentation, regulatory submissions, compliance frameworks, and corporate governance across a regulated fintech environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations for a regulated fintech entity in Dubai
• Ensure the business operates within applicable UAE and international regulatory frameworks
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and legal documentation
• Manage compliance frameworks covering AML/CFT, data protection, consumer regulations, and applicable fintech licensing requirements
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, compliance reporting, and supervisory engagements with UAE financial regulators
• Provide legal advisory to Product, Commercial, and Operations teams on regulatory requirements for new products and markets
• Manage corporate governance, board documentation, and legal entity maintenance
• Monitor UAE and international legal and regulatory developments affecting fintech operations and update frameworks accordingly

Qualifications Needed:

• Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience in fintech, payments, or financial services law and compliance
• Deep understanding of UAE legal frameworks applicable to regulated fintech and payments businesses
• Proven experience managing legal and compliance functions covering AML/CFT, data protection, and fintech licensing
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory skills
• Strong regulatory engagement and governance management capabilities
• Relevant compliance qualification (ICA, CAMS, or equivalent) preferred
