Job Title: Head of Financial Institutions Group

Job Description: Seeking a Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for the Middle East in Dubai. The role leads ANZ’s financial institutions business across the Middle East — building and managing strategic relationships with banks, investment managers, sovereign wealth funds, and financial institutions requiring ANZ’s transaction banking, lending, and structured finance capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ANZ’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG) business across the Middle East — managing a portfolio of bank, fund, and institutional client relationships
• Develop a strong level of local contacts with the business and financial institutions community in the UAE and broader Middle East
• Apply demonstrated competence in key lending, transaction banking, financial markets, and structured finance capabilities to drive FIG revenue
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with banks, sovereign wealth funds, investment managers, and financial institutions across the Middle East
• Drive new business origination and existing client growth across ANZ’s transaction banking, structured finance, and capital markets product suite
• Represent ANZ at UAE and regional financial institutions, banking, and capital markets events
• Ensure financial compliance in ANZ’s financial processes, contracts, and regulatory obligations for the Middle East business
• Partner with ANZ’s global Financial Institutions and Transaction Banking teams on strategic Middle East client mandates

Qualifications Needed:

• Significant financial institutions relationship management or FIG sales experience at a senior or head level
• Demonstrated competence in key lending, transaction banking, financial markets, and structured finance capabilities
• Strong network among Middle East financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds, and banks preferred
• Experience leading or building a Financial Institutions Group business in the UAE or wider Middle East market
• Excellent English communication; Arabic and/or French language skills are advantageous
• Strong credit, risk, and regulatory knowledge applicable to FIG banking relationships
