Job Title: Head of Finance & Accounting Controls

Job Description: As Head of Finance and Accounting Controls at a food distribution, retail, or processing and manufacturing business, you will ensure strong financial management, control, and governance — applying CapEx-intensive and multi-entity finance expertise to a complex UAE food and manufacturing finance mandate.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure strong financial management, control, and governance across the food distribution and manufacturing business
• Set, monitor, and challenge financial and non-financial performance targets across all business units
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and financial modelling for complex operations
• Manage cash flow, treasury, banking, trade finance, and working capital for food distribution mandates
• Oversee landed cost, inventory valuation, product costing, production yield, waste, and margin analysis
• Develop and maintain internal controls, finance policies, approval processes, and risk management
• Improve finance systems, processes, controls, and reporting through automation and digital tools
• Lead and develop the central finance and accounting team with accountability and performance culture

Qualifications Needed:

• CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent — strong technical and practical commercial experience required
• Hands-on knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and e-invoicing — required
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and financial modelling for food distribution and manufacturing
• Experience managing cash flow, treasury, banking, trade finance, and working capital — required
• Experience in food distribution, retail, or processing and manufacturing business — required
• GCC food distribution, retail, or manufacturing Head of Finance experience strongly preferred
