Job Title: Head of Collections

Job Description: The Head of Collections will own the full collections lifecycle — designing collection strategies, managing the collections operations team, optimizing recovery rates, and ensuring Tamara’s collections processes meet regulatory standards and customer treatment guidelines under SAMA supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Own Tamara’s collections strategy across all stages of delinquency — from early arrears through late-stage and external collections
• Build and lead the collections operations team — setting clear performance targets, processes, and quality standards
• Design and optimize collections workflows, channel strategies (outbound calls, SMS, email, in-app), and payment plan offerings
• Partner with Data Science and Risk teams on collections segmentation models and propensity-to-pay analytics
• Ensure all collections activities comply with SAMA consumer credit regulations and customer treatment standards
• Manage relationships with external collections agencies and legal partners for late-stage recovery
• Monitor collections KPIs including cure rates, recovery rates, and cost-per-recovery — driving continuous improvement
• Partner with Product team on collections product features and customer self-service tools

Qualifications Needed:

• 8+ years of collections leadership experience within consumer lending, BNPL, banking, or fintech
• Proven track record building and leading collections operations teams in a high-volume consumer credit environment
• Deep understanding of collections strategy design, segmentation, and omnichannel collections execution
• Experience with SAMA consumer credit and collections regulatory requirements preferred
• Data-driven approach to collections performance management and optimization
• Arabic language skills strongly preferred; must be based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh
