Job Title: Fraud Analyst

Job Description: The Fraud Analyst will work closely with customer support, compliance, and technology teams, providing round-the-clock fraud monitoring on NymCard’s open API card-issuing platform.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor transactions across fraud monitoring applications on a rotational shift covering 24/7
• Analyze and assess fraud alerts and act accordingly
• Suggest applying new fraud rules or editing/freezing existing ones based on fraud cases encountered
• Investigate fraud cases by collecting facts and arguments
• Submit fraud case reports to management
• Conduct transaction flow studies outside automated fraud monitoring applications when necessary
• Maintain continuous coordination with different fraud reporting channels (chargeback team, payment system alerts, acquirers)
• Report any system anomaly encountered outside the fraud scope

Qualifications Needed:

• At least 2 years of experience in fraud monitoring (preferably card issuing) at a bank or similar financial services organization
• Knowledge of fraud regulations in the Middle East and North Africa
• Understanding of fraud processes with Visa and Mastercard
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Arabic
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Positive can-do attitude and flexible approach
• Excellent analytical skills and detail orientation
• Ability to learn new technology, systems, and applications quickly
• CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification preferred
