Job Title: Credit Policy Analyst
Job Description: The Credit Policy Analyst will develop credit policies covering underwriting criteria, credit limits, eligibility rules, and risk-based pricing — using quantitative analysis, model outputs, and market insights to optimize policies across the full credit lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize credit policies across Tamara’s BNPL products including underwriting criteria, credit limits, eligibility rules, and risk-based pricing
- Conduct quantitative analysis of portfolio performance data to identify policy improvement opportunities
- Partner with Data Science to evaluate model outputs and translate them into actionable policy recommendations
- Monitor credit policy performance against KPIs including approval rates, delinquency, default, and profitability metrics
- Conduct A/B tests on credit policy changes and evaluate their impact on portfolio performance
- Develop credit policy documentation and governance frameworks ensuring alignment with SAMA regulatory requirements
- Work cross-functionally with Collections, Finance, Engineering, and Product teams on policy implementation and monitoring
- Stay current on MENA consumer credit market trends and regulatory developments
Qualifications Needed:
- 2–5 years of experience in credit risk, credit policy, or analytical roles within fintech, consumer lending, or banking
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis
- Experience with credit risk frameworks, underwriting criteria design, and portfolio monitoring
- Familiarity with BNPL, consumer credit, or digital lending products preferred
- Understanding of Saudi Arabia consumer credit regulatory environment (SAMA) is a strong advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication for policy documentation
