Job Title: Compliance Officer & MLRO – FinTech / Digital Assets

Job Description: Seeking a Compliance Officer & MLRO to lead regulatory, AML, and risk management operations for a regulated FinTech and digital asset platform. This is a senior compliance leadership role with full MLRO designation responsibilities for a fintech and digital assets business operating in the UAE.

Responsibilities:

• Lead regulatory, AML, and risk management operations for a regulated FinTech and digital asset platform
• Act as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the entity
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive AML/CFT and regulatory compliance frameworks
• Manage regulatory relationships with UAE regulatory bodies including VARA, CBUAE, and applicable authorities
• Oversee KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and ongoing monitoring processes
• Review and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (goAML)
• Develop global compliance framework ensuring adherence to UAE, and applicable international regulatory standards
• Engage with regulators and prepare for regulatory examinations and supervisory engagements

Qualifications Needed:

• 5–10 years of experience in compliance or risk management within financial services, particularly in fintech or digital assets
• Proven track record as MLRO or senior compliance leader in a regulated entity
• Strong understanding of UAE digital asset regulations including VARA requirements
• Deep knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks, KYC/EDD standards, and sanctions compliance
• Relevant compliance qualifications (CAMS, ICA, or equivalent) preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and regulatory engagement skills
