Job Title: Head of Licensing and Regulatory Authorisations

Job Description: Lead the development and execution of Tether’s global licensing and regulatory authorisation strategy across key jurisdictions. Work through a geographically distributed team of regional regulatory affairs and licensing teams, securing and maintaining regulatory approvals required for Tether’s global stablecoin and digital asset operations.

Monitor regulatory developments impacting Tether and affiliated companies in the Middle East region

• Maintain active relationships with policymakers, regulators, central banks, and financial intelligence units across the GCC
• Represent Tether in consultations, workshops, industry roundtables, and regulatory dialogues with regional authorities
• Prepare briefing papers, comment letters, and policy submissions aligned with Tether’s broader global regulatory strategy
• Identify opportunities to shape emerging regulatory frameworks in a risk-sensitive, innovation-oriented manner
• Conduct structured assessments on whether licensing or registration is required for Tether’s operations in the region
• Work with local teams and advisors to successfully obtain required regulatory authorisations in the region
• Support enterprise-level planning for new products or regional expansions, advising leadership on regulatory constraints and enablers

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 8 years of governmental affairs, regulatory affairs, or legal experience, ideally in financial services or the crypto-asset industry in the Middle East
• Proven ability to lead regulatory affairs teams within financial services or the digital asset industry
• Demonstrated experience working with and advocating before regulators and government bodies in the GCC
• Track record of securing favourable policy positions and regulatory authorisations on behalf of an organisation
• Deep understanding of the crypto-asset/stablecoin regulatory landscape in the Middle East
