Compliance Officer | Crypto

Job Description

Responsibilities:

This role sits within the crypto compliance team, assisting in building and monitoring compliance tailored to digital assets.

• Monitor adherence to applicable crypto regulations, internal policies, and risk controls
• Support implementation and review of AML, KYC, and transaction monitoring procedures for crypto clients and wallets
• Research global regulatory updates in the crypto space (e.g., FATF, VARA, MiCA, SEC) and assess business impact
• Assist with onboarding compliance checks for high-risk clients and digital asset wallets
• Prepare reports, audits, and compliance documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies
• Assist in internal investigations of compliance breaches and coordinate remediation efforts
• Contribute to development of crypto-specific compliance policies and risk assessments
• Support employee training programs and increase awareness on AML/CFT and crypto regulations

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field; compliance coursework preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in compliance, AML, risk, or auditing (crypto, fintech, or financial services preferred)
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks for crypto assets, AML, and sanctions (e.g., FATF, EU AMLD, US FinCEN)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
• Working knowledge of blockchain technology, crypto transactions, and crypto wallet structures is an asset
• High integrity, attention to detail, and strong commitment to ethical standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-border environment
