Job Title: Backend Software Engineer

Job Description: Seeking a Backend Software Engineer for Office Intelligence in Dubai. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related fields and involves building backend infrastructure for ByteDance’s enterprise and fintech-adjacent platform products in the MENA region.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the construction of backend systems and infrastructure for ByteDance’s Office Intelligence platform in the MENA region
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for enterprise and platform product lines
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend infrastructure supporting ByteDance’s product operations in Dubai
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and Engineering on platform feature delivery
• Ensure backend systems meet performance, security, and reliability standards for enterprise platform deployment
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the engineering team
• Integrate with payment systems or fintech integrations where relevant to platform feature requirements

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related fields
• Proven backend software engineering experience building scalable production systems
• Experience with payment systems or fintech integrations is advantageous
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and backend service design
• Ability to mentor other engineers and contribute to team engineering practices
