Job Title: Backend Engineer (payment systems/fintech integrations)

Job Description: As a Backend Engineer focused on payment systems and fintech integrations, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power seamless payment processing and financial data exchanges.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize high-performance payment processing systems and fintech integration APIs.
• Integrate with third-party payment gateways, banks, and financial data providers.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with PCI-DSS and local financial regulations.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications Needed:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience with payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen, Checkout.com), banking APIs, and ISO 8583.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases.
• Understanding of financial security standards (PCI-DSS, encryption, tokenization).
