Job Title: Backend Engineer II

Job Description: As a Backend Engineer II, you will help scale the systems behind a leading GCC buy-now-pay-later platform, contributing to high-impact product development within a distributed engineering team and building reliable services for payment products used by millions of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services supporting core financial products
• Develop scalable distributed systems for high-load payment environments
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, and microservices
• Integrate third-party APIs and external service providers
• Contribute to product development alongside engineering and product stakeholders
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable backend code
• Investigate production issues and improve system reliability and performance
• Work independently while communicating effectively with an international remote team

Qualifications Needed:

• Backend engineering experience, ideally including commercial experience with Golang
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and high-load architectures
• Understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and microservices
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and supporting product development
• Strong software engineering practices focused on testing and maintainability
• English communication ability at B2 level or higher
