Job Description

Job Title: Associate AI Engineer – Builders Program

Job Description: As an Associate AI Engineer – Builders Program professional, you will work between software engineering and applied AI to build production-ready fintech features using classical machine learning, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent workflows while owning evaluation, reliability, privacy, safety, and user impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AI-powered product features and internal tools
  • Integrate models into APIs, operational workflows, dashboards, and production systems
  • Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines covering data sourcing, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, and prompts
  • Develop agent-style workflows with tool use, guardrails, and deterministic fallbacks where appropriate
  • Define success measures and build offline tests and human-review processes for AI quality
  • Evaluate AI systems for quality, safety, latency, and cost
  • Implement logging, tracing, monitoring, PII handling, access controls, and redaction measures
  • Collaborate with product, data, design, engineering, and platform teams to turn ambiguous problems into measurable solutions

Qualifications Needed:

  • Fresh graduate or less than one year of relevant experience, including internships and projects
  • Solid programming fundamentals in Python or another backend-service language
  • Understanding of APIs, testing, software reliability, SQL, and dataframe-based data handling
  • Foundational knowledge of machine-learning concepts including training, inference, evaluation, and overfitting
  • Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to validate AI outputs rather than rely on them uncritically
  • Awareness of privacy, security, safe data handling, and responsible deployment of AI systems

What the Company Offers:

  • End-to-end experience building AI features that move from product problem to production service
  • Exposure to LLMs, RAG, agents, evaluation, observability, and responsible AI controls in fintech
  • A high-ownership Builders Program role supported by mentoring and collaboration across product and engineering teams
