Job Title: Assistant Manager, Security Operation & Incident Management

Job Description: As an Assistant Manager for Security Operations & Incident Management, you will support the CISO office by overseeing the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), managing incident response efforts, and ensuring the resilience of the bank’s IT infrastructure [citation:10].

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the SOC, developing and implementing security monitoring and incident detection strategies.
• Own the incident response plan, leading the team in investigating and resolving security incidents and conducting post-incident reviews.
• Assess and articulate the business, operational, and regulatory risk arising from incidents to support executive decision-making.
• Support risk acceptance, prioritisation, and remediation decisions and integrate threat intelligence into security operations.

Qualifications Needed:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in information security within the banking industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; certifications (CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and excellent understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI-DSS, UAE-specific).
• Experience with threat modelling (MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, OWASP) and incident management.
