Job Title: Assistant Manager – Customer Due Diligence
Job Description: As an Assistant Manager for Customer Due Diligence, you will oversee and manage the CDD function for a UAE banking institution — ensuring high standards of customer verification, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring for both individual and corporate clients. Prior experience with UAE or international banks in financial institution due diligence and compliance advisory roles is highly desirable for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the CDD function — ensuring high standards of customer verification, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Review and approve KYC documentation for individual, corporate, and institutional clients
- Conduct financial institution (FI) due diligence and compliance advisory reviews for correspondent banking relationships
- Prepare, review, and submit digital account applications and physical account opening forms including individual, joint, and corporate accounts
- Manage escalated CDD cases and complex client structures requiring enhanced due diligence
- Maintain CDD policies, procedures, and controls in line with UAE AML/CFT regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance to frontline staff and relationship managers on CDD compliance requirements
- Support regulatory audits and supervisory engagements with accurate CDD documentation and evidence
Qualifications Needed:
- Prior experience with UAE or international banks in financial institution due diligence and compliance advisory roles — highly desirable
- Proven CDD management or senior KYC analyst experience within a UAE banking or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of UAE AML/CFT regulations, correspondent banking due diligence, and CDD best practices
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills for complex CDD case management
- Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills for team management and frontline guidance
- CAMS or equivalent compliance qualification preferred
