Job Title: AML Manager

Job Description: As an AML Manager for a crypto and virtual assets operation in Dubai, you will be responsible for leading the AML function — overseeing staff compliance training and awareness programmes while applying minimum 5 years of compliance experience in regulated financial services to manage a robust AML programme for a VARA-regulated virtual asset platform.

Responsibilities:*

• Lead the AML function for a VARA-regulated crypto and virtual assets operation in Dubai
• Oversee staff compliance training and awareness programmes for the virtual asset team
• Develop and maintain AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls for crypto and virtual asset operations
• Manage KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening across the virtual asset client base
• Conduct STR/SAR review and filing — ensuring timely and accurate reporting to UAE regulators
• Lead AML monitoring and testing — producing regular reports for senior management and governance review
• Engage with VARA on AML supervisory matters and regulatory submissions
• Build and develop the AML team as the virtual asset platform scales

Qualifications Needed:

• Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in regulated financial services — with virtual assets or fintech experience preferred
• Proven AML Manager experience within a crypto, virtual assets, or VARA-regulated environment
• Deep knowledge of VARA AML/CFT requirements and crypto-specific AML management standards
• Strong leadership, team management, and regulatory engagement skills
• CAMS or equivalent AML qualification required
• Arabic language skills advantageous for VARA regulatory engagement
