Job Title: AML Manager (Crypto)

Job Description: Seeking an AML Manager with crypto expertise to safeguard clients and reinforce operations, keeping the business ahead of emerging financial crime risks in a fast-moving regulatory landscape in Dubai.

Responsibilities:*

  • Safeguard clients and reinforce compliance operations against emerging financial crime risks in the crypto and fintech space
  • Manage and enhance Deriv’s AML/CFT programme including transaction monitoring, KYC/EDD, and sanctions screening
  • Act as the AML subject matter expert across Deriv’s Dubai-regulated operations
  • Review and investigate suspicious activity alerts and prepare STR/SAR submissions
  • Develop and maintain AML policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks for crypto operations
  • Lead AML monitoring, testing, and audit preparation for the Dubai entity
  • Deliver AML training and provide guidance to business teams on financial crime risk topics
  • Monitor regulatory developments in the UAE crypto and fintech space and implement required changes

Qualifications Needed:

  • Significant experience in AML compliance within a crypto, virtual assets, or fintech environment
  • Deep understanding of AML/CFT requirements for crypto businesses in the UAE
  • Experience managing AML programmes including transaction monitoring, KYC, and STR filing
  • Knowledge of VARA and UAE AML regulatory frameworks preferred
  • Relevant AML qualifications (CAMS, ACAMS, or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with ability to identify financial crime patterns in crypto operations
