Job Title: AML Engagement Manager

Job Description: As an AML Engagement Manager, you will proactively gather and analyse financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities, or connections can be identified. You will lead AML engagement across a globally established banking institution — ensuring adequacy of systems and measures for customer due diligence and maintaining the reasonability and credibility of customer information obtained across the bank’s UAE operations.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively gather and analyse financial intelligence to identify suspicious transactions, activities, and connections
• Ensure adequacy of systems and measures of customer due diligence and reasonability of customer information obtained
• Lead AML engagement activities across the bank’s UAE operations — managing team performance and programme quality
• Oversee transaction monitoring, CDD/EDD, and suspicious activity reporting processes for UAE-regulated banking operations
• Engage with UAE regulators and Financial Intelligence Unit on AML-related matters and regulatory submissions
• Develop and maintain AML programme documentation, policies, and training materials for the UAE team
• Mentor junior AML analysts and build capability within the AML operations function
• Produce regular AML programme performance reporting for senior management

Qualifications Needed:

• Significant AML compliance management experience within a globally established bank or financial institution — UAE Nationals preferred/required
• Deep understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, customer due diligence, and financial intelligence analysis
• Experience leading AML engagement teams and managing programme quality in a regulated banking environment
• Knowledge of UAE AML regulatory requirements and CBUAE supervisory expectations
• CAMS or equivalent qualification required
• Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
