Job Title: Junior Legal Counsel

Job Description: As a Junior Legal Counsel at one of the UAE’s most innovative banks — a UAE National role — you will support the Litigation function by assisting in managing legal proceedings and related activities, and support internal legal projects and assigned litigation-related tasks. You will apply legal expertise to banking and commercial legal matters under the supervision of senior legal counsel at a globally recognized UAE bank.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Litigation function by assisting in managing legal proceedings and related activities
• Support internal legal projects and other assigned litigation-related tasks
• Liaise with external lawyers, courts, and authorities under supervision of senior legal counsel
• Prepare legal documentation, court filings, and litigation support materials
• Conduct legal research on UAE banking law, commercial law, and litigation regulatory developments
• Coordinate with banking operations, compliance, and external legal advisors on litigation matters
• Maintain litigation records and legal documentation for bank regulatory and audit review
• Build foundational banking legal and litigation skills through structured mentoring at a leading UAE bank

Qualifications Needed:

• UAE National (Emirati) — required for this Junior Legal Counsel UAE National role
• Qualified lawyer with approximately 3–5 years of experience in a law firm environment — required
• Strong understanding of UAE banking law, litigation procedures, and commercial legal frameworks
• Excellent Arabic and English legal drafting and communication skills
• UAE law firm or banking legal experience preferred
